Fire Simulation Conducted at LWF Myanmar Head Office
ACTAlliance members in Myanmar has organized awareness section on Fire Safety and simulation activity at LWF Myanmar Head Office, Hlaing Township on 29th May, 2018.
The event is co-organized with Myanmar Fire Services Department and ACTAlliance Members to strengthen alert and understand on the importance of fire safety in the workplace and to react, act and recognize the importance of high quality fire equipment and know how best to use it in the case of emergency.
Although this event is designed for the staffs who are currently working in Humanitarian field, they are expected and willing to spread the knowledge and experiences to their respective community as they received from the event. So then the community can be aware of the fire and to react systemically when the fire outbreak.
Total number of 70 staffs from ACT house fully participated in the awareness sharing and simulation exercise as the practical.
This is the first event that ACTAlliance members working together for safety and security under collaboration of Myanmar Fire Services Department.

The communities we work with are setting up structures to access government services and resource, and we engage government line departments in our activities.
Gender justice is at the core of all our work. Women are active decision-makers in all project activities. We promote gender equality at the community level. And women make up nearly half – 45 percent – of our staff.
Our carbon footprint is shrinking. We follow LWF/ DWS Guiding Principles for Sustainable Development and put a high priority on creating an eco-friendly, sustainable environment in all our projects - from tree-planting, recycling, fuel efficiency and organic gardening initiatives to environmental impact assessment for construction and WASH, and environmental disaster training.
