This summary document seeks to present an overview of the Human Rights Situation in Myanmar; an analysis of recommendations that enjoyed the support of the government of Myanmar; and a summary of recommendations that didn’t enjoy the support of the government.
It also lists human rights issues in Myanmar that were not included in the UPR. LWF Myanmar hopes that, given the government of Myanmar’s commitment to the UPR process, this will provide a useful tool for all stakeholders working to improve the human rights situation in Myanmar.
It is hoped that the Analysis of Recommendations document will provide a useful tool to assist all government and non-government stakeholders in their understanding of key UPR recommendations and help strengthen all advocacy efforts designed to improve the human rights situation in Myanmar.
